So we finally got the permits from Kearney to go on our buildout. I’m pretty excited about that because as happy as I am to be open I will be even happier to be in our new building.
In out new buildout I will have two rooms and a great little studio for stretching and yoga. This is getting me really excited to get going!
I’m going to be going into week 5 of the 12 weeks it takes to become a Registered Yoga Instructor with the Yoga Alliance! This last week in classes we talked about Laughter Yoga, Children’s Yoga and Restorative Yoga. I was really digging the Restorative as I prefer a gentle approach and this is the most gentle one that I have experienced besides Aqua Yoga.
Restorative Yoga is usually a sequence of only five or six poses that are supported by props. This allows complete relaxation and rest. Most of the poses are held fro 5 minutes or more and include twists, seated folds, and gentle backbends. Restorative yoga has long been promoted for its ability to decrease stress, help people heal from illness, and increase flexibility.
As I’ve really gotten into it lately I’m hoping to start having small Restorative classes starting in January.
I hope this little bit of info gets you as excited as I have been lately!
